From time to time we enjoy promoting the art openings of our artists. Darren Guest whose work appears quite frequently on our scanning bed has a show at the end of this month. Darren is a more rare kind of artist and here's what he has to say on the back of his announcement. "My Name is Darren Guest and I am a visual artist from Baltimore, MD. I was born with Muscular Dystrophy, a disease that weakens muscles throughout the human body. I've been in a motorized wheelchair since the age of six. Frank Morgan's house with outdoor gallery in Wrightsville, PA. Archival Arts client Frank Morgan has found freedom of expression in the Susquehanna Valley of Pennsylvania. He utilizes an unusual method of presenting his artwork to the public 24-hours-a-day. The exterior of his house is his gallery. In the three years that Morgan has been residing in Wrightsville, PA (located between York and Lancaster) the artist has been painstakingly creating his outdoor gallery by adorning his home with giclée prints of his paintings. “You can see them at night from across the river,” says the artist of his ever growing display. The large piece hung near the top of the house, called “Madonna and Child,” is illuminated by a brilliant light at night and offers dramatic scenery for the 10,000-15,000 cars that pass by each day.
